The home of both Mozart and The Sound of Music, Salzburg is a town rich in history, old-world elegance, and Sachertorte (to describe it as chocolate cake really doesn’t do this dessert justice). Salzburg in July offers visitors lovely weather — with temperatures cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon, travelers can head to the Austrian Alps to escape the summer heat. This transitional outfit was ideal for exploring.

01. Button-down top

A white button-down top is one of the most versatile pieces you can bring in your travel wardrobe. Pair it with jeans for a laid-back sightseeing look or tucked into a maxi skirt with a fabulous bag for evening.

02. Dress (similar)

As I often do while traveling, I opted for a midi-length dress that could transition from day to night with a change of accessories and shoes. Though the dress pictured is no longer available, I found a similar one here.

03. Shoes

This pair of Cole Haan sneakers is one of my wardrobe staples, both at home and while traveling. The crisp, white leather means these comfy kicks can truly go with anything.

04. Sunglasses

Simple and classic, with touch of modern style, these sunglasses elevate any look — and are light enough for all-day wear.

05. Earrings

Comfortable for even the most sensitive skin, the quality of these earrings brings an elevated elegance to your jewelry collection.
